Starting Thursday, the LRT TV News Service will begin broadcasting from a new, high-tech studio equipped with two moving robotic cameras and the ability to display virtual reality objects. The studio’s designer, Egmontas Bžeskas, notes that even the decorations in this studio are smart.
Bžeskas explains that it is difficult for an artist to describe exactly how an idea is born, but he admits that this project took a long time to complete.
“We created around five different versions of the studio before settling on this one. All concepts involving sharp shapes were rejected, which is why we see smooth, curved lines here,” says the designer.
A Cozy and Intelligent Studio Design
The creator of the new LRT studio reveals that wood was incorporated into the design to create a warmer, cozier atmosphere.
“We used a smart honeycomb pattern, which is engraved in glass and can change colors. The entire studio decoration is intelligent, it has its own mind—it can even react to music and dance to its rhythm,” Bžeskas explains.
Designed in Tenerife, Inspired by Light and Brightness
Bžeskas also revealed that the studio concept was developed in Tenerife, Spain.
“Maybe that’s why it turned out so bright and vibrant,” he speculates.
Cutting-Edge Technology at the Core
The technical implementation of the studio was overseen by LRT Innovation Manager, Arnas Zuikis. He highlights that the studio features ultra-high-definition screens and one of the world’s most advanced weather forecasting display systems.
